Summer 2021

How long is the season for?/How long is my commitment once I have registered?
Upon registration for Summer, you are committing to the class(es) for that Summer Session.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee for our Summer classes.
When do classes start?
The week of June 21st.

Is tuition pro-rated if the studio must close due to inclement weather?
Summer tuition is based on the 6-week session or Workshops noted on our schedule. If classes are missed due to inclement weather, make-up days will be scheduled & offered.
How do I stay up-to-date with studio news?
We communicate via all platforms...paper, email & social media! Be sure to have [email protected] on your 'safe senders' list so that we don't get sent to spam! We also put important news on our social media as well.
How do I get in touch with my child's teacher?
Email or call (804)378-7860. Your message will be forwarded to the appropriate instructor.
How do I pay?
Statements will be handed out at the first class. 50% of tuition is due at time of registration to hold your child(ren)'s spot. The remaining 50% is due at the first session of the class (week of June 21). Cash and checks are accepted. Credit/debit cards are also accepted, however you must let SIM know if a debit or credit card is the preferred payment method so that an electronic invoice can be initiated.

Regular Season

How long is the season for?/How long is my commitment once I have registered?
Upon registration, you are committing to the class(es) similar to a full school year, September thru May. There is typically an annual Recital early to mid-June. Classes meet on the designated day & time once per week for the entirety of the 9-month season.
What if my child(ren) does not want to complete the season?
Each class WITHDRAWAL requests MUST be submitted in writing 30 days IN ADVANCE and in person to a Stars in Motion staff member. There is a two-month minimum enrollment requirement and you are responsible for tuition for those two months of payments. Any withdrawals after March 31, 2022 will incur full year tuition.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, $25.00 per child. This fee is non-refundable and secures your child(ren)'s spot in the class(es) desired. The fee also covers administrative handling.

How do I stay up-to-date with studio news?
SIM sends home monthly newsletters. We communicate via all platforms...paper, email & social media! Be sure to have [email protected] on your 'safe senders' list so that we don't get sent to spam! We also send home paper copies of newsletters AND put important news on our social media as well.
Is tuition pro-rated if the studio must close due to inclement weather?
TUITION is based on approximately 36 classes per dance year. There are 2 built-in inclement weather days within SIM's pricing structure. If more than 2 classes are missed due to inclement weather, make-up days will be scheduled & offered.
