Summer Dance Class FAQ
Returned Checks
RETURNED CHECKS are charged $35 for additional handling. A second returned check requires future payments to be made in cash or money order in advance.
How do I make a payment?
Invoices are sent via email. We accept payments via cash, check, credit/debit cards, and ACH transfers. To secure your child’s spot, 50% of the tuition is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due during the first session of the class (week of June 16).

How do I stay up to date with studio news?

What should my child wear, and what shoes are required?

Is tuition pro-rated if the studio closes due to inclement weather?
Summer tuition is based on the 6-week session or specific Camps/Intensives as noted on our schedule. If classes are missed due to inclement weather, make-up days will be scheduled and offered.
How long is my commitment once I have registered?
By registering for the Summer Session, you are committing to the selected class(es) for the entire Summer Session.
Is there a registration fee?
There is no registration fee for our summer classes.
When do classes start?
Classes begin the week of June 16th.

How do I pay?
Monthly tuition is invoiced on the 1st of each month (September - May.) Invoices are sent via email. Auto-draft via credit/debit card is the preferred payment method. However, cash and checks are accepted.

What does my child(ren) wear? What shoes do they need?
Each class page on our website has a dress code description. please go to our class menu item to learn more.
How do I stay up-to-date with studio news?
SIM sends home monthly newsletters. We communicate via all platforms...paper, email & social media! Be sure to have [email protected] on your 'safe senders' list so that we don't get sent to spam! We also send home paper copies of newsletters AND put important news on our social media as well. Facebook. Instagram
Is tuition pro-rated if the studio must close due to inclement weather?
TUITION is based on approximately 36 classes per dance year. There are 2 built-in inclement weather days within SIM's pricing structure. If more than 2 classes are missed due to inclement weather, make-up days will be scheduled & offered.
How long is the season for?/How long is my commitment once I have registered?
Upon registration, you are committing to the class(es) similar to a full school year, September thru May. There is typically an annual Recital early to mid-June. Classes meet on the designated day & time once per week for the entirety of the 9-month season.

Is there a registration fee?
Yes, $25.00 per child. This fee is non-refundable and secures your child(ren)'s spot in the class(es) desired. The fee also covers administrative handling.
What if my child(ren) does not want to complete the season?
Each class WITHDRAWAL requests MUST be submitted in writing 30 days IN ADVANCE and in person to a Stars in Motion staff member. There is a two-month minimum enrollment requirement and you are responsible for tuition for those two months of payments. Any withdrawals after March 31, 2025 will incur full year tuition.
